WASTE FREE LUNCH
Third Grade Planeteers had a "Waste-Free Mindfulness Lunch" last week. Some packed lunches with reusable plastic containers and baggies instead of plastic sandwich bags. Others used aluminum water bottles instead of plastic bottles. Many brought in cloth napkins instead of paper napkins.
Ms. Kathol guided the students through a "mindfulness" activity whereby students blessed the items in their lunchboxes and purposefully thought about where each of their lunch items came from.
The Planeteers continued their acts of service by assisting Ms. Kathol with a book sorting activity. HCA teachers donated old or outdated books and textbooks which will be recycled or given to local charities and schools. Students helped to sort them into piles and box them up for delivery.

Tuesday, March 23 - Dress Alike DAY - Boys have chosen to wear a "Summer Theme" and Girls are going to wear a "Rainbow Theme."
Wednesday, March 24 - SWEATS DAY - Wear your comfiest sweats to school
Thursday, March 25 - THROWBACK DAY - Dress up in clothing from your favorite decade!
