Our GoMath! series emphasizes learning a variety of strategies to master the multiplication and division facts. Students can decide which strategy they are most comfortable with in order to help them memorize the tables. Here are some examples of how students show their knowledge of the various strategies to illustrate multiplication and division facts.
Trapped in a Snow Globe Narrative Stories
Third Grade wrote narrative stories about being trapped in a snow globe. Using graphic organizers to plan and organize their stories, students wrote rough drafts, and practiced typing their good copies. Many stories were quite humorous. I am happy to say that (most) all of the students were able to escape!
