We have had lots of fun learning about and creating a compost bucket in 3rd Grade Science. Students learned about the importance of composting and how easy it is to create our very own composter. Using dirt, dried leaves, egg shells, water, fruits, vegetables, and of course, WORMS, the class worked hard on making a compost bucket. It is being kept in HCA's Organic garden. Each day, they will add food scraps leftover from lunch and two students will be responsible for watering and stirring the compost.
