Week of Oct. 12 - 16, 2020

Grammar:  Types of Sentences

We are learning the four types of sentences, Declarative, Interrogative, Imperative, and Exclamatory in English class.  Students created flip books to remember the types of sentences.

Founder's Day Celebration

Each year every Holy Child school celebrates Founder's Day on Thursday, Oct. 15th.  Traditionally, on this day, the older students would imitate Cornelia Connelly (Foundress of SHCJ), who, gave her teachers the "day off." While the teachers took a break from teaching, the older students of the school taught the lessons in the classes.   This year, the Middle School students created virtual activities for each of the Lower School classes.  The Fifth Grade made a video of themselves reading the story of Cornelia Connelly and provided the students with coloring sheets.

This week's Character Trait winners were Declan, Miles, Alexa, and Sofia.  Each student showed good character in decision making, patience, and working with others.
Congratulations!!!
