Back to School 2021

Back To School 2021
Meet and Greet

It was great seeing many of the Third Grade families during the Meet and Greet.  Students were excited to see their new classroom and visit with old friends.

Third Graders are simply the "Zest" at Science!

We had lots of fun conducting a chemistry lesson with lemons!  Students combined the juice from a lemon with food coloring , dish soap, and baking soda and watched as a lemon volcano formed.   WOW!

A Message from our Band Diretor, Michael Norton:
It's time to strike up the band once again!  HCA Concert Band will resume in school band lessons and rehearsals for all interested students entering Grades 3-8 for HCA Concert Band, including all brass, woodwinds, and percussion instruments.  Students of all abilities and experience are invited to join in these exciting band opportunities.

While music ensembles and performances have been eagerly awaited for our school again after a long delay, please be assured all band instruction will be utilizing the most current protocols as part of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) "Return to Music Guidance: Phase III" to ensure that music education is available to all students and provided safely.

Dear Parents,

I am very excited to start a new school year with a brand new class of 3rd Graders.  This is the start of my 23rd year at Holy Child Academy and I know it will be an exciting year filled with lots of learning and fun, too.

I enjoyed meeting you at Back to School Night this week.  Please feel free to contact me this year with any questions or concerns you may have.  I look forward to a great parent/teacher partnership this year.

Sincerely,
Jen Hoffman

A few reminders:

1)  Please pack two napkins in your child's lunch - one for a place mat and the other for them to use.

2)  Other than math, students should always write in cursive.  Please remind your child of this when he/she is completing homework.
