Founder's Day Celebration
To commemorate the first Mass Cornelia Connelly held with the Sisters of the Holy Child Jesus, HCA held a prayer service and enjoyed fun Founder's Day Activities.
Each class was commissioned at the prayer service for their class Service Partner. The Third Grade class are the Planeteers and their service focus this year will be on the protection of the Earth and the all creatures who live on this planet.

Third Grade Planeteers
The Lower School celebrated Founder's Day on Thursday with some fun activities run by the Middle School students. Activities included playing Australian Ball, a pumpkin roll, HCA sidewalk chalk designs, making snack bags, and storytelling.
Walk to the Rain Garden
Mrs. Zwilling took a "field trip" to a local Rain Garden down the street from HCA in STEAM class this week. Students got a chance to look at and learn about local rain gardens. Here's a link to learn more: https://extension.psu.edu/an-introduction-to-rain-gardens
When they returned from their walk, students created models of rain gardens out of Legos.
