Culture Boxes
As part of the study of immigration and culture in Social Studies class, each Third Grade student created their own personal culture box. Students researched their family ancestry and presented their culture boxes to their classmates. Thank you for sharing your family history and traditions with the class.
"Egg-stastic" Structures in STEAM Class
Mrs. Zwilling challenged the class to create an plastic egg structure and also how to make a plastic egg stand on its own. Here are the young scientists at work.
This week's Character Counts winners are Gianna, Kent, CJ, and Mack. They showed great perseverance, responsibility and caring towards their classmates.
Gianna chose the "Bring a Furry Friend" award.
*Waste-Free Lunch on Wednesday, April 27th
*Field Trip to Tyler Arboretum on Thursday, April 28th. Leave HCA at 9:30 AM and return by 12:30 PM. Please have students dress for being outdoors and wear sneakers. Pack a lunch that will be eaten outdoors
*HCA Spring Benefit & Silent Auction - Saturday, April 30th - This event is 21+.
*In preparation for Mother's Day, each student will be able to invite one guest (his/her mother or special friend) to a special May Crowning & Celebration of Mothers Prayer Service on Friday, May 6th at 8:15 am in the school gym. Find more information in the Happenings. If you are interested in attending this special celebration, please sign up here. We would love it if each child has someone in attendance.
