Week of February 24, 2020

We Are on a Roll!

Learning math facts is fun when you are playing "Multiplication Roll."  Students compete to get to 100 by solving multiplication fact problems.

The class had fun celebrating Mardi Gras this week.  They learned about the cultural significance of the day before Ash Wednesday.  Students wore purple, green, and gold beads, looked at the throws like doubloons and Frisbees, read about Carnivale, and enjoyed a slice of yummy King's Cake.  Joseph was lucky enough to find the baby Jesus doll, too.

I was so proud of the class as they led the Ash Wednesday prayer service this week.
They sang the hymns reverently and read the bible passages articulately for
this special day which begins the season of Lent. Special thanks to Ms. Kathol, Religious Director, for preparing the class and Deacon DeLuca for celebrating with us.

The re-enrollment deadline is next Friday, March 6! Please remember to send your registration in by next week
