You Gotta Have Heart!
Third Grade continues their study of the circulatory system in Science class. Students studied the parts of the heart and listened to each others' heartbeat with a stethoscope. Thanks to Zora for letting us borrow it.
DCWAR Visits Third Grade
Each year, DCWAR spends a week visiting HCA. Ms. Jester presented educational prevention programs to grades K - 8. The programs are tailored to be developmentally age and grade appropriate. Third Grade's program focused on building self esteem and how to share your feelings with others.

HCA students gathered to celebrate Hispanic culture during Community Time this week. Students participated in making personal pinatas, competing in a Hispanic culture Quizzo game, and learning Latin dances. Thank you to the faculty on the Diversity Committee for organizing this special event.
This week's Character Trait students were Zayne and Zora. They displayed responsibility, honesty, and kindness and were given the opportunity to chose from the reward chart. Zayne choose to wear his "Stinky Feet" and Zora choose to have "Show and Tell."
